Titan - Rottweiler Dog for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Titan is a an approximately 4-year-old black Rottweiler boy (with his tail!) who arrived at the shelter after being found at the back of a school parking lot. He was a little unsure of everything at first, but once he settled in, his true personality came out, and staff and volunteers keep using the same words for him: sweet, wiggly, and exceptionally wonderful.

Titan is a big softie with the people he gets to know. He greets handlers loose and wiggly at the front of his kennel, leans in for affection, and shows soft eyes and happy mid-level tail wags (plus plenty of slobber). He's been friendly with both men and women and he is very food motivated, especially for hot dogs and cheese, takes treats gently, and is already learning "sit." He has even started enjoying a game of ball in the play pen!

Titan is a strong, sniff-everything kind of guy. He walks fairly nicely on leash until something catches his interest, and then he can pull hard, so a no-pull harness and positive, treat-based training will help him shine.

His reactions to other dogs have been mixed. He's often unfazed when passing other dogs, but fence introductions have been inconclusive, so his new family should plan for slow, careful introductions. Titan would do best in a home with older kids and with people ready to keep building on his training.
