Meet
Diva
, a 9-year-old Rottweiler beauty with a megawatt grin and a whole lot of love still to give. This gloriously chonky couch potato is as cuddly as they come - perfectly plump, though she could benefit from shedding a few pounds to feel her very best. With her easygoing, laid-back personality, Diva is all about the simple joys in life: tasty treats, short strolls, and cozy cuddle sessions by your side. She’s gentle, soft-natured, and a breeze to leash, preferring slow neighborhood walks where she can take in all the sights and sniffs at her own pace. While she may be a little slow to get moving, her heart is as big as ever and full of warmth. Don’t let her age fool you - Diva still has plenty of life left to live and so much love just waiting to be shared. Come scoop up this diamond in the rough today!
-9 year old black and brown Rottweiler
-109 pound spayed female - could stand to lose 20 or so pounds to be her healthiest
-may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before you can take her home, but the shelter can likely help with this! Also has a little fatty lump on her chest, but these are common in older pups, and hers doesn’t bother her - may need to be adopted on a health waiver, just to be safe; adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and potential treatment
-came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 3/17/26 as an owner surrender - Diva’s animal ID number shows us she was in the system a long time ago, so it’s unfortunate seeing her returned after so many years due to her family saying they could no longer handle the “responsibility” after all the love and light Diva brought to their lives
-sweet, gentle, and incredibly easy going, this girl asks for very little in terms of needs, but has so much love left to share with her new family!
-great on leash, potty trained, no issues with other dogs, and knows basic commands like sit
-perfect cuddly couch potato
