Donnie’s story began under heartbreaking circumstances. He and his brother, Otis, were found as strays suffering from severe mange, ringworm, parasites, and extensive hair loss.

But just look at this handsome boy now!

With veterinary care, treatment, nutritious food, patience, and plenty of love, Donnie has made an incredible recovery. He has tested negative for the conditions he was treated for and is now neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and receiving heartworm prevention.

Now he’s ready for the next chapter of his story...

Donnie is still a puppy with his whole life ahead of him. He’ll need a family committed to continuing his training and socialization while helping him grow into the wonderful adult dog we know he can become.

Breed Guess:

Our best guess is that Donnie is a Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever mix, possibly with another breed in the mix. His chocolate coloring, tan points, floppy ears, and build suggest he may have some Rottweiler ancestry. As with any rescue puppy, however, his breed is only an educated guess unless confirmed through DNA testing.
