Sassy - Rottweiler Dog for Adoption in Mclean, Illinois

We are ready to take apps for beautiful Sassy. She is an 8 year old female rottweiler that was found living in a basement and was most likely used for breeding. Despite that, Sassy is one of the happiest and friendliest rotties you will ever meet--although she has a huge bark that can certainly scare away an intruder! Sassy weighed 57 lbs when found and had a bad skin infection but she is recovering very well and is at a healthy looking 78 lbs.
Sassy loved all the kids she has met. We've not had her out with other dogs but she doesn't fence fight through the kennels. I do get the impression that due to prior lack of food, she would need to be fed alone. She's met the cat through the kennel and didn't show interest but has not been with him off-leash.
She is now spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped and she needs and deserves a loving home where she can run and play and enjoy grass and sunshine! Her adoption fee is $300.
If you are interested in adopting her, please submit the app from our website at www.rubysrescueandretreat.org AND have your references email me at rescuejeanann@aol.com. If you have previously applied for a different dog and have a current app and references on file, you can just send an email to express your interest. Thank you for considering her!
