Rusty is a sweet 4-month-old male puppy who was found abandoned in Bakersfield, CA, alongside his brother. These two boys were sadly starved and dumped, but despite everything they’ve been through, Rusty is still full of love, curiosity, and puppy energy.

Rusty is a lanky mixed-breed pup with a beautiful reddish coat and an adorable short tail. His breed is unknown, but he may have some Rhodesian Ridgeback, Cur, or hound in his mix.

He absolutely LOVES to eat, play, explore, and hang out with his people. He’s doing well with his potty training and would love a family who will continue working with him on training and helping him become the best dog he can be.

Most of all, Rusty deserves a home where he will never be abandoned again. He’s already experienced hunger and being dumped at such a young age. Now he deserves to know what it feels like to be safe, loved, wanted, and part of a family for life.
