DESCRIPTION
“Meet Zipper! Zipper is a 9-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who's ready to find her forever home. She's the perfect companion for cozy couch cuddles but still loves to run around outside and gets the occasional zoomies. Her absolute favorite thing? Playing with and being around small dogs! Zipper has never met a stranger and is friendly with both people and other dogs and has lived with children. She's potty-trained, free roams beautifully in the house, loves to explore, and is happiest curled up beside her people—whether that's in her dog bed or yours. She also loves mealtime, giving kisses, and simply being by your side. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate, gentle giant to share life with, Zipper is your girl. We've absolutely adored fostering her, and we know she'll make an incredible addition to a very lucky family.” I’m currently in a loving foster home offsite! Please contact my foster parent, Charlene, at charlenestrain95@gmail.com or 314-225-7377 to inquire about me or set up a visit! Please allow up to 24 hours for my foster parent to respond. Inquiries are answered in the order received, and the foster parent will let you know your place in line if there are other interested adopters.
A meet-and-greet is required before adoption. Adopters should be available to meet within 48 hours of inquiring; otherwise, preference may be given to the next person in line who can meet sooner.
For everyone’s safety, current pets are not able to meet the foster animal before adoption.
After the meet-and-greet, you will have 24 hours to visit the HSPPR Adoptions Lobby (11:00am–4:30pm) to complete paperwork and finalize the adoption.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Rhodesian Ridgeback, originally from Southern Africa, is a breed known for its distinctive ridge of hair along its back that grows in the opposite direction of the rest of its coat. This intelligent and loyal dog is a versatile hunter, originally bred to track and contain lions. With a strong and muscular build, the Rhodesian Ridgeback is also a loving and devoted family companion, displaying affection and protectiveness towards its loved ones.
