This 1 year old, 12 lb sweetheart is a shy boy at first, but give him a little time and you'll unlock his favorite mode: full time snuggle bug. Once he trusts you, Chester loves to lean his whole body into you like a tiny weighted blanket and will happily melt into your side for cuddles. Bonus points if you're good at butt scratches, they are his absolute favorite.

Chester has been through a lot. He was found in an abandoned house in Puerto Rico with other pups, surviving on their own for months before kind strangers stepped in to save them. Now safe in New York, he's learning what it means to feel secure and loved.

He would do best in a calm, patient home that will let him come out of his shell at his own pace. In return, you'll get the most loyal little companion who just wants to be close to his person.
