Meet Trooper!

Trooper is an estimated 6-month-old small mixed-breed puppy with a heart as big as his name.

His journey began on the streets of Louisiana, where overcrowded shelters and limited resources often leave homeless animals with few options. Thankfully, kind-hearted finders stepped in and got Trooper the help he desperately needed. When he was rescued, he was suffering from a non-contagious form of demodectic mange, covered in fleas, burdened with intestinal worms, and his skin was so irritated that he had scabs and open wounds across his body.

Despite everything he endured, Trooper has remained a happy, loving, and resilient little guy. With proper veterinary care, medication, nutritious food, and lots of love, his skin is healing beautifully and his playful personality shines brighter every day.

Trooper is a versatile companion who could thrive in either an apartment or a house. He especially enjoys having canine friends and would love a playful dog sibling who can keep up with his wrestling matches and toy adventures. He is also dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and kid-friendly, making him a wonderful addition to many different types of families.

Like any young puppy, Trooper is still learning the ropes. He is currently working on potty training and improving his leash manners, and he continues to make great progress every day.

Trooper is available for both foster and adoption. His adoption fee includes his neuter, continued treatment for demodectic mange, heartworm test, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccinations.
