He was rescued from Miami-Dade Animal Services after being found with a severe laceration on his side, believed to have been caused by a hit-and-run. After surgery, medical care, and lots of love, Rufus has made a full recovery and is finally ready to find the forever family he deserves.

If you're looking for a calm, loyal companion, Rufus may be your perfect match. He is the definition of a gentle soul who would rather spend the day curled up next to his favorite person than anywhere else. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he trusts you, he'll happily become your shadow and your very best friend.
