Cheesy is a sweet, playful little guy who is ready to find a patient family to help him build his confidence. He can be shy when meeting new people, but with a little time and kindness, his affectionate personality begins to shine.
Cheesy loves playing with toys. While he can happily play with canine friends, he has had some squabbles with his brother, so we believe he would thrive best as the only dog in his forever home, where he can enjoy all the attention for himself.
Cheesy is not suitable for a home with cats, as he has a strong instinct to chase them. He has also not been exposed to children, so we are unsure how he would react.
He is still learning about the world and will need an adopter who is patient and committed to helping him gain confidence. Cheesy is not yet comfortable walking on a leash and will benefit from gentle, positive training to help him develop this important skill. He is familiar with his crate and settles well in it, though car rides are still scary for him and will require time and reassurance.
