MEET LUCAS... AKA JUMPING JACK!

10 Pounds of Charm, a Gentle Soul, and a Little Bounce of Joy!

Somewhere along the way, Lucas and six other Chihuahuas were abandoned in Puerto Rico. Thankfully, Hacienda de Sato Amor stepped in to give them a chance at the lives they deserved. Lucas has been fully vetted, and now this precious little gentleman is ready for his happily-ever-after! Currently being fostered by Heaven Can Wait in Congers, NY, Lucas has been winning hearts one little bounce at a time. His foster family has affectionately renamed him Jumping Jack, and once you meet him, you’ll understand why!

Lucas can be a little quiet and reserved when he finds himself in a new environment. Give him a little time to feel safe, and you’ll discover the delightful little personality hiding underneath. Suddenly, Jumping Jack makes his appearance! He gets bouncy, animated, and absolutely adorable... but don’t worry, he saves his big performances for the truly exciting moments of the day — like when you come home or when dinner is served!

The rest of the time? He’s a quiet, easygoing, laid-back little gentleman who is perfectly happy enjoying the simple pleasures in life. A warm, fluffy place to curl up, a cozy nap, and a little love are pretty much his idea of heaven. We suspect Lucas is a Rat Terrier, Chihuahua mix, maybe some Jack Russel but he seems to have inherited a Rat Terrier personality sweet gentle devoted and loving. No excessive barking or nervous shaking here — just a sweet, gentle little soul with a lovely, calm disposition. He’s estimated to be around four years old, although the veterinarian who treated him thought he could be as young as two. And this boy is wonderfully easy to have around! House-trained Good in the car Comfortable in a crate Has traveled on a plane Easygoing at the groomer and veterinarian good with kids and dogs of all sizes.

Quiet, gentle, and wonderfully relaxed. He deserves a home where he can finally exhale, feel secure, and know that he belongs. He may not be the loudest dog in the room or the one demanding attention from everyone he meets. But give him patience, kindness, and a soft place to land, and you just might discover that his quiet little heart has an enormous amount of love to give. And when you walk through that door after a long day? Well... get ready for your very own Jumping Jack welcome committee!
