Astro isn't one of them.
This adorable little guy is full of life, always ready for an adventure, and has the kind of happy-go-lucky personality that makes everyone around him smile. Whether he's playing, exploring, or simply soaking up attention, Astro approaches each day with joy.
His story, however, didn't start that way.
Before coming into rescue, Astro wore the same collar for so long that as he grew, it became embedded in his neck. By the time he was rescued, it had become a life-threatening injury, sitting dangerously close to one of the major arteries in his neck. He underwent surgery to safely remove the collar and begin the healing process.
Today, that's just one chapter in his storynot the whole story.
What you'll notice about Astro isn't what happened to him. It's the way he greets life with a wagging tail, an eager spirit, and a heart that's ready to trust again. He's resilient, affectionate, playful, and an absolute joy to be around. Every day, he reminds us that dogs have an incredible ability to move forward with hope.
