Meet Sammy! Meet Sammy, a 10-month-old Chihuahua/Pug mix weighing about 15
lbs. Sammy is a gentle, sweet, curious, and smart little guy who is learning
every day what it means to feel safe and confident in the world around him.
Sammy loves soft toys, chewing on bones, exploring a secure yard, car rides,
and spending time with other small dogs. He especially enjoys having a calm
canine companion to follow and learn from, and he quickly warms up once he
has a little reassurance. This sensitive boy is still building confidence
with new experiences. He does best in calm, patient environments where he
can take his time adjusting and feels most comfortable with slow
introductions and gentle handling. Because he is still learning leash
skills, a secure fenced yard is ideal while he continues to gain confidence
on walks. Sammy has the cutest way of communicating when he's excited or
trying to play, he makes funny little vocal sounds that are sure to make you
smile. He thrives in a home where someone is around more often to help him
feel secure and supported as he continues to grow. This sweet boy is looking
for a patient, experienced adopter who can continue helping him build
