This includes our standard adoption fee of $395 plus an additional required $1000 tax-deductible donation. Why the additional donation? Dogs with highly desirable traits-such as low-shedding coats and popular breeds-help us fund lifesaving care for dogs who need it most, including nursing moms, imaging and surgeries for dogs with traumatic injuries, and medications for those requiring lifesaving heartworm treatments. Meet Rumba - The Gentle Soul. Rumba is one of those puppies who just seems happy to be here. Give him a sunny spot outside, a good stick to chew on, and his people nearby, and life is pretty much perfect.

One of four puppies, Rumba seems to have inherited his mom's wonderful temperament. He's a sweet, gentle, well-behaved boy who already listens beautifully for such a young pup. He knows how to sit when asked, pays attention to instruction, and genuinely seems to want to make his people happy. And while he gets along just fine as part of his puppy pack, Rumba definitely wants to make sure he gets a little love of his own. He'll seek out your attention and happily settle in for cuddles - which is especially hard to resist with his incredibly soft, light-caramel coat and perpetually happy little face.

Rumba is also one of the gentler puppies in the litter. He's not particularly mouthy or nippy and is much more likely to offer you sweet puppy kisses instead. Of course, he's still a puppy and has all the normal puppy learning ahead of him, but his naturally soft demeanor really stands out. He's not a particularly vocal puppy, either. Rumba will speak up when he has something to say, but he isn't constantly whining or demanding attention. Even better? He sleeps through the night!
