Collette is a true "velcro dog" who loves nothing more than being by your side. Her absolute favorite activities include rope tugging, running around chasing other dogs, and—believe it or not—wrestling with her foster family's cat! She also has a hilarious, playful streak and loves trying to catch water from the garden hose. Once her medium energy is burned off, she transforms into a world-class snuggler who will happily melt into your lap or fall asleep right in your arms on the couch.

Smart, Willing, and Eager to Please
Collette is very smart and food-motivated. She has mastered commands like Sit, Stay, and Wait. She shows a lot of excitement and will pull on the leash in the front yard, so she is ready for a patient adopter to teach her proper leash manners.

House Training Progress
Collette is doing fantastic and is about 90% house trained! Because of her small size, she just needs a consistent routine. If you take her out every 3 hours, she is golden. She does not mark or require diapers. Her new family will just need to continue offering frequent potty breaks and rewarding her with praise and treats when she does her business outside.

Her Ideal Home:
Collette has a very specific request for her forever home to help her thrive with her slight separation anxiety:
• A Canine Sibling Required: Collette dislikes being left alone and gets anxious by herself. She currently sleeps wonderfully in a large dog pen and feels safest when she is with another dog. She has a confident personality with other pups.
• Humans Around Often: She needs a home with someone who works from home, is retired, or can take her along on daily adventures.
• A Patient Routine: Someone ready to keep up her 3-hour potty schedule and continue her training. While she hasn't met young kids yet, her friendly nature means she would likely do well with respectful children.

Health Notes:
Collette is spayed, microchipped, and fully current on all vaccinations (records included). Her previously fractured leg has healed beautifully according to the vet. She does occasionally skip on her left leg due to minor residual inflammation or an old minor tendon strain. It does not stop her from running, wrestling, or playing at all.
