I'm Everly. Two years old, poodle-terrier mix, approximately 100% ball. The other stuff - the loving, the friendly, the plays-great-with-other-dogs - all true, all real, all very much me. But let's be honest with each other from the start: if you have a ball, I already love you. If you don't have a ball, we should get one immediately. This is non-negotiable.

Here's what life with me looks like: I am warm, I am social, I am genuinely delightful to be around. I love people, I love dogs, I love a good yard where things can be thrown and retrieved at high velocity. I am working very hard on the potty training situation and making real progress, thank you for asking. I will sleep in my crate - I do want you to know I have opinions about it and I will share them briefly - but once I've made my feelings known, I settle right down. Promise.

I do best when my person is around most of the time. I'm not a "see you in eight hours" kind of girl. I'm more of a "want to hang out all day and also throw the ball" kind of girl. A dog friend would be great. A yard is basically a dream. And some gentle guidance on the whole ball-obsession thing would probably be good for both of us - I've been told I can be a lot about it.

But here's the thing. You will never, ever wonder if I'm happy to see you. You will never question whether I'm engaged, enthusiastic, or fully present. Because I am all of those things, always - especially if you have the ball.
