Isabela - Poodle and Havanese Dog for Adoption in San Diego, California

Isabela is a beautiful 9-month-old Poodle/Havanese mix weighing just 12 lbs.

She has the biggest heart, but her life didn't start the way every puppy deserves. Sadly, Isabela was mistreated when she was very young, leaving her shy and nervous around new people. Because of her past, she needs a family that understands that trust takes time.

The wonderful thing about Isabela is that once she feels safe and forms a bond with you, she will give you all the love, loyalty, and gratitude her little heart has to offer. Watching her blossom is truly something special.

She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and women. She is still fearful around men and young children, so she would do best in a calm, patient home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace.

Isabela is playful, loves spending time with other dogs and kittens, and is potty-trained-she lets you know when she needs to go outside.

Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are set to support the sustainability of our rescue program. All adoption fees include the DAPP vaccine series, Bordetella, rabies, spay/neuter, microchip, and deworming.

Applications are reviewed and responded to within 72 hours of submission. As an all-volunteer organization, we appreciate your patience throughout the process. Selected applicants will be contacted to schedule a call and discuss next steps. We are committed to finding the most appropriate match for each dog.
