Rockie is a handsome little fella searching for an active family with plenty of time and love to share. He was adopted from a local humane society a couple of months ago, but his adopter soon realized their busy lifestyle did not allow enough time to properly dedicate to a dog. Unfortunately, the humane society was unable to accept him back, so Rockie is now looking for a new beginning.
Rockie can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, he becomes the best friend you never knew you needed. He loves being close to his people and would happily snuggle in bed with his family at the end of the day. When he is excited or wants attention, he may jump up to make sure he is noticed.
This sweet boy enjoys going for leash walks, playing with toys, and joining his people for car rides. He has demonstrated a good understanding of house manners and does well with both dogs and cats. Due to his petite size and initially reserved nature, Rockie would be best suited for a home with older, dog-savvy children.
Rockie is not a fan of being crated and will vocally express his displeasure. Because his excitement can also get the best of him, he may not be the best fit for an apartment or other home with shared walls. He is not suitable for tethering and would thrive with a family who will include him in their daily life.
As a Toy Poodle mix, Rockie will require regular professional grooming to keep his coat healthy and comfortable.

FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
