Hi, I'm Ducky, a 2-year-old female Doodle! Me and my sister Cocoa, lost our home through no fault of my own, when our owner was incarcerated. We ended up on an euthanasia list, but a vet student contacted RCHS about our situation and, YAY, RCHS came to our rescue!
I am incredibly smart, gorgeous and sweet, with a natural, and amazing, faux hawk. Currently, I'm living with two larger foster brothers who absolutely adore me, though they refuse to admit it. I haven't been around cats, but I love chasing bunnies during my daily yard patrol, so if cats are like bunnies, I might want to chase them too. Since I have a prey drive, I will need a fully fenced in yard. I haven't been around a lot of children, but I loved those that I have met! I’m not so sure about toddlers, though. I'm crate trained, potty trained and I know basic commands.
According to my foster mom, I am the very best girl! Like all girls, I enjoy long walks, having my tummy rubbed, chasing bunnies, and cuddling whenever possible.
My ideal home would be with someone who is willing to be patient with me while I learn their house rules and most importantly, ready to play with me and, of course, tell me how amazing I am.
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our application here: http://www.rchsks.org/our-animals/adopt-a-pet/adopting-a-dog. By filling out the application you are not committing yourself to adopting; it's a screening process that must be completed before you meet the dog. Please do this BEFORE calling. Our voicemail is only checked periodically and you can reach us much faster via dog-coordinators@rchsks.org. Thank you!
