ELIZABETH (but we call her “LIZZY”) is an apricot “oversized” Toy Poodle who is 2 years old (born 07/04/2024) weighs 9 pounds and is 12.5 inches tall from the floor to her shoulders. She has always been an only dog who was deeply loved and well cared for by her owner who was working 2 jobs but tearfully didn’t have any time to spend with her.
Lizzy is a pretty girl who just LOVES attention from men, women, older children and is one of those Velcro Poodles that will follow you around the house wanting to know what you’re doing and where you are going. But you can just sit down, and she will jump right into your lap to get your love and attention.
She will play with the toys, enjoys playing fetch and will play with other (small) Poodles who want to play with this happy, silly, fun-loving, little girl. And as shown in the video, she is also very good doing the Poodle “zoomies” around the house.
Lizzy is a perfect little girl in our home (house-trained). She quickly comes when called, is picky about her food, loves treats (just rattle the bag) and really wants to be with you. She is also one of the first Poodles to let us know that someone is at our front door!
*A SECURELY FENCED YARD will be given priority. But a secured long leash with someone watching her will be acceptable from the right family.
*Preference will be given to a family with small dog experience.
BUT PLEASE:
*NO aggressive or assertive dogs (they scare her and me).
*Like most rescue groups, we do NOT adopt our Poodles to homes more than 1 day’s drive (round trip) from our location here in central Minnesota.
Lizzy was 4DX tested and her Lymes’s (tick born illness) test came back positive. She has received her Doxycycline treatment for 30 days and is now certainly feeling much better and more active than when she first came to us.
She was then spayed, her teeth were cleaned, has been Veterinary checked healthy, up to date on all her vaccinations, worming, Home Again micro-chipped and registered
Lizzy’s adoption fee is $649.00 PLUS $51.00 for our 7.875% Minnesota state sales tax and helps pay for some of her Veterinary expenses.
Also included is her leash, collar, harness, a bag of quality dog food, a dog food container, treats, a cute toy box with some dog toys, her kennel with a blanket, a dog bed and lots of good information to help your adoption move forward on the right paw!
Again, Lizzy is a VERY NICE, smart, fun loving, precious little girl who wants and truly deserves a loving “forevermore” home.
