Yoshi - Pomeranian Dog for Adoption in Toronto, Ontario

Yoshi is a stunning 18 month old, 22-pound shy boy with the sweetest brown eyes and a cute little mohawk down his back.

He had a tough start to life, with limited human interaction, so he is only just starting to understand that humans can be kind. Treats go a long way - hell come running for a snack with bright eyes and a wagging tail.

Yoshi is quiet in the house, adores rummaging through his toy box (especially at night when everyone else is asleep), and loves to zoom full-speed around the backyard with his canine foster siblings.

He ignores the resident cats and shows no prey drive. He is fully house-trained. He can be left alone while you work, as long as he has other dogs and some toys to play with. Yoshi prefers to sleep cuddled up in his humans bed.

Yoshi gets very excited for walks, but is quite nervous about the world around him. He is much more confident when walking with other dogs. He sleeps through car rides.

Because he is so shy with people, Yoshi is looking for a calm, adult-only home. He will need his person to have lots of patience and a gentle demeanour - it will take Yoshi some time to settle in and feel safe.

Children are a little scary for Yoshi - he is not aggressive towards them at all, but he will bark at them a little and prefers to stay far away.

Another dog (or two) in the home and a fenced yard are a must for this boy. He would do best in a quiet neighborhood.
