Lolly is a 10-year-old Pomeranian/Yorkie mix with the sweetest heart. She absolutely adores her people and lives for snuggles, belly rubs, and being close to the ones she loves. If you're looking for a loyal little companion who wants to be your shadow, Lolly may be your perfect match.
She enjoys going for walks, chasing birds, running the fence with the neighbor dogs (she takes her "neighborhood patrol" very seriously! 😂), and racing after squeaky toys, even if bringing them back isn't really part of her game. She also loves playing with her younger Dachshund sibling, Milo.
Lolly has been deeply loved and exceptionally well cared for her entire life. She is spayed, current on all vaccinations, and knows several commands including sit, down, roll over, and speak. She has attended training classes and has wonderful manners with the adults she trusts.
Making the decision to find Lolly a new home has been incredibly heartbreaking for her family. After welcoming a baby, Lolly began showing increasing anxiety around infant noises and movement. As their baby became more mobile, Lolly's discomfort escalated, and she recently nipped the child. Thankfully, no injury occurred, but her family recognizes that the safest and kindest choice is to find Lolly a home where she can relax and thrive without young children.
Several years ago, Lolly was attacked by a foster dog with food aggression, leaving her blind in her left eye. She has also been diagnosed with a Grade 4 heart murmur and takes pimobendan twice daily. She does have an occasional cough related to her heart condition, but she continues to enjoy life and all of her favorite activities.
Lolly's ideal home:
- Adult-only home or one with older, respectful teenagers
- No babies or young children
- Someone who enjoys walks, cuddles, and having a devoted companion
- A family that understands she can be protective of the people she loves
- A home committed to continuing her heart medication and routine veterinary care
Lolly isn't being rehomed because she isn't loved. Quite the opposite. She is being given the chance to live the rest of her life in an environment where she feels safe, comfortable, and happy.
If you think you could provide Lolly with the peaceful, loving retirement home she deserves, we'd love to hear from you.
