Burgonet - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Yorkville, Illinois

Meet Burgonet -- just the cutest little girl, modeling her warm fall jacket.
If you have been following our previous posts -- we suspect Burgonet is Kettle's sister. They were found running loose in a group in unincorporated Kendall County and were never reclaimed. Burgonet is very much like her sister, a big scaredy cat and has a permanent puppy-like appearance despite her being 1.5-2 years old. She weighs around 35 lbs and is going to fill out to somewhere around 40 lbs. We believe that she is a Pit mix (and possibly a Mastiff type breed) -- and she has a docked tail. Burgonet has done well with dog and cat testing here, but would be best in a home without small children since she is so nervous right now. She is starting from scratch with basic commands and housetraining, leash walking, etc. as unfortunately it appears she had a rough start. Her adoption fee is $150 and she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. Please call or email with questions: 630-553-9256 or animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov, or stop by the shelter at 802 W John St. Yorkville, IL to meet her.
