Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Oreo is a fun and friendly girl. During her assessment, she remained engaged and approachable, easily introducing herself to strangers and interacting appropriately with a new dog. Her enthusiasm was evident during leash walking, as she eagerly pulled from spot to spot without a specific destination in mind.
When we moved inside, it took her a little time to settle down, but once she focused on the activities in the room, she stayed engaged for the rest of the assessment. Oreo enjoyed being handled and actively sought continued interaction. Although she struggled with redirection, often returning to the behavior I was asking her to avoid, she did show an understanding of the cue "sit." Additionally, she demonstrated excellent recovery when faced with startling sounds and objects.
