Rocky is a handsome young adult Pit/Boxer mix with a wonderful, easygoing personality. This mid- to low-energy guy loves everyone he meets, and his favorite place is simply wherever his people are.

Rocky is potty trained and kennel trained and knows basic commands, including an adorable shake with both paws. He continues to improve on leash and is such an easy walker that even an 80-year-old family member comfortably takes him for walks!

Don't let his laid-back side fool you, Rocky loves to play! In a former home, his playful enthusiasm was a bit much for the senior small dog, so a canine companion who enjoys his play style may be a better match. He has also remained calm and unbothered when seeing dogs, donkeys, sheep, and chickens through a fence.

Rocky is currently safe in a foster home, but someone in the home is allergic to him, so he needs a new foster or, even better, a forever family to call his own.

Originally found as a stray near Kechi, KS, Rocky arrived with flea dermatitis that has since been treated. The fleas are no longer a concern, his coat is filling in beautifully, and he is a happy, healthy boy with so much love to give.
