At around 3 years old, Barry never expected to be searching for a new family.

Barry and his older sister, Bowser, recently lost the only home they had known when their beloved elderly owner had to move into senior living and could no longer keep them.

Now Barry is looking for someone new to love — and thankfully, loving people comes pretty naturally to this guy.

Barry is sweet, social, affectionate and wonderfully easy to be around. He has a playful younger-dog spirit without forgetting his manners, and he genuinely enjoys being part of whatever his people are doing.

Barry is your classic pittie / Heinz 57 mixed breed — maybe we cant tell you exactly what went into making him, but whatever the recipe was, it created one incredibly lovable dog.

He came to us with his 11-year-old sister, Bowser, and the two have shared their lives together. We would absolutely love to find a family willing to welcome them both, but they can be adopted separately if needed. What matters most is finding each of them a safe, loving home where they can feel secure again.

Barry has already lost the home and person he knew.

Now hes ready to find the family who will show him that sometimes starting over can lead to something pretty wonderful.
