Thorne may be a bit cautious when something is new, but he settles in quickly and soon feels right at home. Once he's comfortable, his personality shines: he makes friends easily, joins in activities, and loves being near his person. He's a playful boy who enjoys chasing balls, tug games, and chewing on his favorite Benebones (especially the bone and wishbone shapes). Thorne gets along wonderfully with other dogs - he'll play with them when he's in the mood or entertain himself with toys. He's also perfectly content to sit back and observe the world around him.

Potty training is still a work in progress, but he's learning. He'll sometimes run to the door when he needs to go out and will whimper when he needs to poop. Taking him outside 10-15 minutes after meals and right after waking up works best for him.

Leash walking is coming along, too. Thorne can be nervous around noises, cars, and unfamiliar people, but he does much better when another dog leads the way. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night, though he'd prefer to curl up with a sleep buddy or on a soft bed near his person.

Thorne enjoys his meals and likes to savor every bite. He responds well to training, especially when other dogs aren't distracting him. He's a lovely balance of independent and affectionate - he likes having his own space to play or nap, but he also cherishes snuggle time with his person.

Thorne is a good little boy with a joyful personality, ready to bring laughter, companionship, and sweetness to a loving forever home.
