**This is a courtesy post, this dog is not in the care of Bradford's Second Chance Rescue**
Brad is a 10 year old neutered Pitbull terrier mix, who is a happy go lucky doggo.
Brad is lover boy and LOVES getting attention for any human he meets, that being said he would thrive in a home with someone who wouldn't mind a “shadow” who will seek daily interaction for belly rubs, butt scratches and couch cuddles as napping is his favorite hobby.
He is potty trained and kennel trained as he will get into the trash if left home alone.
Brad is extremely people oriented however he is reactive to other dogs so it's required that he's in an only dog household and no dog interactions (adult only preferred) and must have a yard to run and play free of anxiety. Brad has had training with his reactivity which has greatly helped, so someone with experience with reactivity and training would be greatly beneficial to continue his progress. Preferably someone who has previously owned a pittie as they can be “clingy” don't like rain, and scaredy cats at times.
He has had an incident of resource guarding (growled) a large smoke bone and beef tendon with someone trying to take it away, it hasn't happened since so high value long lasting chews are not given, quick treats have never been an issue and used frequently to keep focus on walks.
Since Brad doesn't interact with other dogs it's important to get mental stimulation through puzzles, luck mats and outdoor play. He likes doing tricks for treats he know (sit, lay down, turns around, paw, heel, and working on rolling over).
Brad does have some dietary habits that would be beneficial to follow, he thrives on fresher dog food like the honest kitchen, Steve's real food, grandma Lucy's etc.
We want Brad to find a good home that will be able to give him the time and attention that he deserves, he's a incredibly loyal dog who will thrive with a family would would work with his quirks.
