ABOUT TRIGGER
If you're looking for a committed cuddle buddy, come meet Trigger! This handsome boy is a 1-year-old mixed breed who is desperate to be your couch potato. Trigger came to HAP from one of our shelter partners and quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite thanks to his affectionate and cuddly nature! He's a sweet, happy boy but can be a little reserved when meeting someone new. Once he's comfortable with you, Trigger loves getting pets and will try to get as close to you as possible. If you dare to stop petting him, he'll paw at you to encourage you to keep going. Trigger also loves all of his toys and can get very excited when they start squeaking! Trigger keeps his kennel clean and tidy and loves his walks. He walks very well on a leash, and he LOVES rolling around in the grass. Trigger knows "sit" and will happily wag his tail while he waits for his reward. If you've been looking for a big baby, Trigger may be your guy!
*He hasn't met other animals or children yet, but we think he would do well with older children who will respect his boundaries. He would likely thrive as the only pet in the home!
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
