GROWING UP IN FOSTER...BUT READY FOR FOREVER!

Elsie is an amazing 5 month old puppy who has been in our care since she was only 6 weeks old! She and her siblings came to us from a county in the coalfields of WVa who doesn't even have an animal shelter! Elsie has been raised in a loving foster home who has exposed her to many other dogs, crate trained her and started the house training process. A real homebody, Elsie is quiet, gentle, responsive and has good indoor manners. At events, she is a bit more shy and needs encouragement to explore and have fun!

An adopter who chose one of her litter mates had a DNA test done! Elsie is a mixed breed dog who is mostly pitbull and german shepherd. Is that what you would have guessed? What's for sure is that she is 100% wonderful and sure add love and light to the family who chooses her!

Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3 charitable, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule individual adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
