Mother Goose - Pit Bull Terrier and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Stephenville, Texas

Mother Goose came to us with her puppies when they were just a week old. Now that her babies are finally weaned, this sweet mama is ready to leave motherhood behind and start her new life puppy-free!
Mother Goose can be a little apprehensive when meeting new people, but once she warms up, get ready for all the love! She is a big fan of giving kisses and absolutely loves hugs. In fact, she can be a little forceful with her affection, so a home without small children is recommended.
This girl is also a HUGE fan of toys! If she can get her paws on it, she's ready to play! Mother Goose is currently relearning her leash manners and will need a refresher on potty training. She did appear to be potty trained when she first arrived, so hopefully a little consistency and patience will help her get back into the swing of things.
When Mother Goose first came to us, she was in very poor body condition and displayed some resource guarding over food around her puppies. Given her condition and the demands of caring for her babies, this behavior may have been influenced by her circumstances. Her future family should be mindful of this and provide a calm, consistent feeding routine while continuing to work with her using positive reinforcement.
Mother Goose has spent enough time taking care of everyone else, and now it's finally her turn to be spoiled! She's looking for a patient, loving family who will give her the time she needs to settle in, plenty of toys to play with, and all the hugs and kisses her heart desires.
Mother Goose has received her DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations. She is pending a microchip and heartworm test, and is scheduled to be spayed on 10/23.
