Monkey is the definition of a snuggle bug. If you're sitting down, she's in your lap. If your lap is unavailable, she'll simply find another warm body to curl up next to, human or dog. She thrives on connection and closeness, and her happiest moments are spent tucked in beside her people, soaking up all the love she can get.

Her name isn't just for show either. Monkey has a signature “yell” that truly lives up to the name, along with a whole range of grunts and funny little noises that make it seem like she's having full conversations with you throughout the day. She's expressive, silly, and guaranteed to keep you entertained with her unique way of communicating.

Monkey has a wonderfully balanced personality. She's just as happy heading out on adventures as she is lounging on the couch. She's been enjoying outings to places like coffee shops and parks, where she can sit back, observe the world, and take everything in. She loves meeting people and is always ready to be the center of attention, especially if she's being held. She's also starting to discover the joys of toys and games like fetch as she continues learning all the “normal dog things.”

At home, Monkey gets along well with other dogs and especially loves snuggling up with them. She's still figuring out play styles and social cues, so she would do best with a dog who is patient, adaptable, and doesn't mind a cuddle-heavy companion. Some days she's in the mood to chase and wrestle, and other days she prefers to do her own thing right alongside her dog friends.

Monkey is a smart girl who will enjoy continued training and support as she builds confidence and independence. She can be sensitive to new situations and loud noises, and she's still working on feeling comfortable when left alone, so a patient home willing to help her grow at her own pace will be important.

Monkey is estimated to have been born in November and weighs 25 lbs. Monkey's adoption fee is $550. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.

We take care to make sure every pup finds their pawfect forever homes! Our policy is to match our puppies' personalities to our prospective adopters' lifestyle and preferences in a four-legged fur companion. We reserve the right to select a pup we feel will be best suited for you, which may not be the pup you originally applied for.
