AMBER - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Sacramento, California

!!EXTREMELY URGENT!! Needs out by Thursday 8/13/26 @ 5pm!! Adorable Amber (A911646) is a 2 and a half year-old spayed red and white pittie who desperately needsto exit! This sensitive, people-oriented girl has already been through an adoption and return and now has very limited options. Amber was initially terrified and shut down at the shelter, but with time she blossomed into a sweet, affectionate girl who bonds closely with her people. She was adopted and her family worked with her for months, but ultimately returned her due to separation anxiety and destructive behavior when left alone. When initially at the shelter she was avoidant of other dogs. Amber also continues to struggle with other animals. She does not want doggie friends and will go after other animals, so she needs to be the only pet in the home. Shelter life is extremely stressful for her, and seeing other dogs can trigger barking, lunging, and pulling.

Amber needs a rescue placement that can provide structure, consistency, patience, and a thoughtful plan for her separation anxiety. She has shown how deeply she can bond with her people and deserves the opportunity to decompress in a safe, stable environment.
