Meggie - Pit Bull Terrier and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Rock Hill, South Carolina

Meggie, or Meg for short, is a 1.5 year old pittie mix who is pretty much the total package. She is insanely dog-friendly and absolutely loves having doggy friends around. She's submissive, playful, and social, but she also knows how to kick back and be lazy when it's time to relax.

Meg is wonderful with kids and is currently fostered with them. She is incredibly sweet and gentle, making her a fantastic family dog. She's also housebroken, crate trained during the day, and sleeps beautifully in her kennel at night.

She's a dream in the car, walks nicely on a leash, and loves being wherever her people and doggy friends are.

Meg does have a couple of little quirks she's working on. She's afraid of loud household noises like the vacuum and leaf blower, and because she is ridiculously happy to see people, she sometimes forgets that not everyone wants a 30-pound pittie greeting them with all four feet! She's working on keeping those paws on the floor when saying hello. She just loves everyone and desperately wants to make sure they know it!

At just 30 pounds, Meggie is the perfect size...small enough to fit right into your lap, but big enough to keep up with all the fun.

If you're looking for a fun-loving, dog-social, kid-friendly, affectionate pup who will bring endless joy (and probably a few enthusiastic greetings) into your life, Meggie might just be your girl.

As of late July, Meggie is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and is handling treatment well. She will need to continue to refrain from heavy exercise in the next couple of weeks - which she doesn't seem to mind based on her relaxed demeanor!
