About Buddy
Buddy has mastered the perfect balance between playtime and relaxation.
At 6 years old, he's past the puppy phase but still has plenty of fun left in him. One minute you'll find him stretched out enjoying a break in the yard, and the next he'll be racing after his favorite ball like it's the most important mission of the day.
If there's one thing Buddy loves, it's toys. Balls are his absolute favorite, and he's more than happy to entertain himself tossing one around the yard. In fact, he sometimes turns a game of fetch into a game of "catch me if you can" when he decides the ball is just too much fun to give back right away. His playful personality is guaranteed to keep you smiling.
Buddy is friendly, affectionate, and quick to warm up to new people. He enjoys spending time with his people but isn't overly demanding. Whether you're heading out for a walk, throwing a ball in the yard, or simply relaxing at home, Buddy is happy to be part of whatever you're doing.
His previous owner shared that he is both potty trained and crate trained, making the transition into a new home a little easier. He's also very treat motivated, which can be a great tool for continued training and bonding.
Buddy has participated in playgroups at the shelter and has done well with other dogs, including Diamond. If you have a resident dog, we do require a meet and greet at the shelter to help ensure everyone is a good match.
