Caldwell survived a place other dogs didn't. He went thru hell and he's learning that life is still GOOD and he's loving that. Caldwell seems to adore other dogs and he wants one to buddy up to so bad. Caldwell is a gorgeous velvet tan/blue color and he has stunning eyes. One is more blue the other kind of blends in with his colors. He's a nervous boy about people and handling. He playbows and bounces around but he doesn't always trust humans intentions when they head towards him and he wants to get away. He's making great progress though and will come up to me for petting when he's out with my dogs. Another dog would likely be required in his new home to help him fully integrate.
Caldwell is ready for a new home. He's neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and he tested negative for heartworms.
At Autumn Acres Animal Rescue we believe each individual animal matters. We take in special cases some of which will stay with us as a sanctuary dog.If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect Dog this means they have special needs and special requirements for potential adopters.
If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect RESIDENT this animal is NOT available for adoption and is one of our sanctuary residents. We list them on our sites because they still matter and they still need donations to help with their long term care.
