5+ MONTHS.
That’s how long Chico has been waiting for a home.

Instead, this sweet 2-year-old, 60-lb boy has been living in boarding — often spending 18+ hours a day in a crate.

And now, with his rescue closing, time is even more urgent.

Playful & people-friendly
Smart & highly trainable
Loves cuddles & belly rubs
Loves toys & playtime
Making positive progress with proper dog introductions

He was a staff and volunteer favorite at Downey Animal Care Center.

He deserves so much more than a crate.

He deserves a family. A couch. A backyard. Someone to love him.
