My name is Elsa and I am a 10-month-old Pit Bull mix who weighs about 40 lbs.
I'm a local girl looking for the right forever home - one that understands I'm still very much a young, energetic puppy learning how to exist in the world.
I am a super sweet, happy dog with lots of energy and lots of love to give. I enjoy being active, going on walks, and being involved in whatever my humans are doing.
I've already had two previous homes, and both situations really came down to me needing more structure, training, and management than they expected.
In one home, I was too energetic for a young child and would accidentally knock them over during my excited moments. I also liked to chase the family cat, though they did note I was not aggressive - I just thought it was a fun game.
In my second home, I struggled being left loose in the house and would potty indoors when left alone. I was not being crate trained, and I may benefit greatly from structure, routine, and proper kennel training to help set me up for success. I am showing good manners being in a crate here at the rescue.
At the end of the day, I'm a young, active bully mix puppy who needs guidance, consistency, exercise, and realistic expectations. With the right home willing to put in the time, I have so much potential to become an amazing companion.
If you're looking for a fun, energetic dog and are ready for the training and structure that comes with a teenage puppy, I might just be your girl!
