Tulle - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Portland, Oregon

My name is Tulle and I am a short legged mixed breed who weighs about 20 lbs.

I made the journey from California to Oregon to find my forever family, and while I'm happy to be here, this big new world is still a little overwhelming for me.

Right now, I'm very shy who is still trying to build confidence. When I'm scared, my first instinct is to find a safe place to hide. You'll often find me trying to squeeze under furniture or tuck myself into a quiet corner until I feel more comfortable.

Because I'm so unsure of my surroundings, I am considered a flight risk. If a door or gate is accidentally left open, I would likely try to run rather than stay nearby. For that reason, I'm looking for an adult-only home where everyone can be mindful about keeping doors and gates securely closed while I continue to gain confidence. A quieter household without lots of sudden noises or commotion will also help me feel safe.

I'm looking for a patient family that understands confidence isn't built overnight. With time, routine, gentle encouragement, and maybe even a friendly dog to show me the ropes, I know I'll continue to blossom. Watching a shy dog discover that the world is safe is one of the most rewarding experiences there is, and I hope my future family gets to be part of that journey with me.
