While she might start off a little shy, Nosferatu has shown us that she has a heart of gold and a very gentle spirit. She is a polite lady who takes treats with the utmost care and enjoys the company of other canine friends.

Nosferatu is a quiet soul who appreciates a gentle touch and a calm environment. Once she feels safe, she'll approach for attention with soft, hopeful eyes and a low, happy tail wag. Behavioral Notes

Kennel Presentation: Laying down at the front of her crate, soft wide eyes, ears back. Took a treat very gently through the bars.

Leash Skills: Backed up with the leash, was able to leash with a treat lure. Once leashed, came out slowly and walked slowly, tail low, head low, wide eyes, ears back.

Sociability: Would come over when I called to her, soft wide eyes, low tail wags, body low to the ground. Allowed all handling with the same body language. Took treats gently.

Play: n/a

Dog Interaction: Met Nia, slightly tucked tail wagging, ears back, sniffed. Met Ellen who she came in with, loose body, mid tail wags, ears back, shook off. Pulled hard towards Ellen as her handler took her back, low tail, ears back. Once out of sight stopped pulling and returned to me.

Return to Kennel: Walked back loose leash with the same body language as walking out, went right into her crate and leash was removed easily.

When I first approached, Nosferatu was standing behind Ellen, and backed away to keep her between us throughout the encounter. Nosferatu ran into the back corner of the lot, where I was able to leash them. Completely refused to walk once leashed; I eventually had to suitcase Nosferatu to keep the hips up and encourage walking, and their tail remained tucked and ears pinned as we "walked" to the van
