Tarzan has a remarkable rescue story. He landed in a very run down, small town shelter for about 6 long months. Our rescue learned of his special needs and knew he would not thrive in this environment.
He was anxious and shut down around people, but gained confidence around other dogs. We initially thought he had been abused, but discovered through a professional evaluation and an experienced foster, that he had likely not received proper socialization in his first year of life.
He is now 2 and a half and is doing wonderfully in his current foster home, with 6 other dogs and an excellent dog trainer for his mom. He has learned lots of tricks and commands and his anxiety around people is much better.
Tarzan is a precious soul and has a great outlook on life, even after all he has been through. He is about knee high and won't take up much room in your home, but we guarantee he will take up a big space in your heart! He loves other dogs, so this is a must in finding his forever home. Please let us know if this unique, young pup could be a perfect fit for your "pack"!
