Meet Stella

This tiny girl recently joined us from Detroit Animal Care and Control, and while we're still getting to know her, one thing is already crystal clear-she is as sweet as can be.

Stella's favorite place seems to be right next to her people. In fact, she spent the entire ride home curled up on the transporter's lap, soaking up all the love and attention she could get. She gets along well with other dogs and loves kids.

At approximately 3 years old and 51 pounds, Serena is the perfect-sized companion with a gentle heart and an affectionate personality. She'll be visiting our wonderful partners at Heritage Animal Hospital next week after testing positive for heartworm.

A heartworm diagnosis can sound scary, but we've helped many dogs through treatment, and with the amazing care Stella will receive, we're optimistic about her future. Thanks to our trusted veterinary team, heartworm treatment has become a journey we know how to navigate, and Stella will have an entire rescue family cheering her on every step of the way.

For now, Stella is settling into foster care, enjoying soft beds, kind hands, and the comfort of knowing she's safe. We can't wait to learn more about this sweet girl and share her journey with all of you.
