DESCRIPTION
Hi, I'm Froggy. I like to consider myself a unique puppy; you don't typically hear of "hospice puppies," but I am one. Let's just get this out there: I most likely will not have the longevity that normal puppies have. The vet team here thinks it is realistic to estimate I could live for one or two years. Please remember-that is only a guess! To adopt me, please email pets@michianapets.org to request an application. I am currently living in a foster home!
Before we discuss my medical info, here's all the awesome stuff about me...
I love everyone-dogs, cats, kids, new people, familiar people; everyone and everything is my friend. I am a happy, playful, silly, energetic, sweet and loving puppy boy. I love toys and nappies and playtime and repeating all of it all over again. I am a very trainable boy because I LOVE food. I mean, I am the most food-motivated fellow ever. And I'm smart! So, I'm basically the perfect student!
Here is why I am considered hospice...
I have a grade 4 heart murmur. My kidneys are pending evaluation. I am an "as-is" adoption (with a waived adoption fee!). I have a condition called hypospadias. While I can live very comfortably with hypospadias, there are complications that could come from it down the road. And speaking of hypospadias, it kind of makes me a great candidate to be a diaper dog! You see, I am learning how to be potty-pad trained but sometimes I don't potty on the potty pad even though I think that I do! My foster mom is working hard to help me be potty-trained but sometimes I just gotta go when I gotta go! So, please be patient as I learn the ropes. Oh yeah, I have perfect bloodwork!
I am an evolving case and I am looking for an adopter who can ensure I have vet access when needed. I also am the world's best special needs puppy boy. I am about four months old and I am neutered. Love, Froggy.
