This buff guy is Maverick, a young adult dog found stray and never reclaimed. Maverick has been a good boy since his arrival and a pleasant visitor but we hope his stay isn't a long one. Pit Bull type breeds tend to stay in shelters so long that they begin to deteriorate simply for being misjudged simply based on their looks. It's a sad story that repeats itself in shelters frequently. Let's not make Maverick another victim of shelter rot.
Maverick is strong and smart, willing to learn new tricks for treats. He knows the basics but is a good student so he'd love to learn some advanced stuff. He's got a fair amount of energy and would love to get a daily walk in his new home, he'll help you get your steps in!!
Maverick is curious and aware of his surroundings. His ideal family will be experienced with dogs that are strong on lead and he needs to be an only pet with children over 12 yrs simply due to him not knowing his own strength.
