Meet Yellow, the Not-So-Mellow Yellow!

Hi! I’m Yellow, and despite my name, “mellow” isn’t exactly the first word my foster family would use to describe me. I’m smart, fluffy, affectionate, adventurous, and always ready to figure out what’s on the other side of that puppy gate!

My siblings and I had a pretty rough beginning. We were found living in filthy conditions on the porch of an abandoned home with our mama, Fifa. Thankfully, we were rescued and taken in by a wonderful foster family, where we’ve been able to grow up safe, loved, and very well cared for.

Now it’s time for me to find a forever family of my own!

What Makes Me Special

First, I don’t really look or feel like the rest of my siblings. My coat is longer, incredibly soft and fluffy, and my foster family says I have a very Golden Retriever-ish look and feel. Even with all that fluff, I surprisingly don’t seem to shed much!

I also have the cutest little stub tail. It wiggles like crazy when I’m happy, and one of my favorite activities is trying to chase it. Unfortunately for me, nobody has explained that my tail is simply too short to catch. I remain optimistic.

I’m also, without question, the little brainiac of my litter. I’m extremely smart, curious, athletic, and VERY good at problem-solving. Combine that with some seriously impressive leg muscles, and ordinary puppy gates and open-top playpens become more of a suggestion than an actual boundary. If there’s a way over it, I will probably find it!

So yes, my forever family should be prepared for a clever little escape artist who will need secure spaces, continued training, exercise, and plenty of things to keep my busy puppy brain occupied.

But underneath all that energy is an incredibly affectionate little girl.

I LOVE people. I love being held, snuggling with my foster family, and absolutely covering them in kisses. After I've finished exploring and investigating everything around me, I'm more than happy to soak up all the attention you’re willing to give.

And when all that adventuring makes me hot? I have developed my own highly sophisticated cooling system:

I sleep in my water dish.

Apparently it’s supposed to be for drinking. I disagree.

Ready for My Forever Home

Like any puppy, I’ll need a family committed to continued training, socialization, patience, exercise, and lots of love as I grow. In return, you’ll get one incredibly smart, affectionate, funny little companion who will keep you laughing and give you plenty of kisses along the way.

My adoption fee includes:

• All age-appropriate puppy vaccinations and rabies vaccination
• Multiple dewormings
• Spay
• Microchip
