Meet Lanie – The Girl Who Never Stopped Smiling!

Lanie is a two-year-old pitbull with a heart as big as her personality. She came to us from the Bakersfield shelter after her owner was arrested, and she waited nearly two months for someone to come for her. They never did, but through all of it, Lanie never lost her smile. She greeted every person and every day with pure, unwavering joy, and that spirit is something you simply can’t teach.

From the moment we met her, we were completely enamored. That irresistible little wiggle, that beaming face, perky ears and that total happiness despite everything she’d been through — Lanie is one of a kind. She doesn’t believe in strangers. The second you meet her, she has already decided you’re her new best friend and will climb right into your lap to prove it. She is a champion hugger and an expert at making whoever she’s with feel like the most important person in the world.

Lanie is dog friendly, wonderful with people of all ages, and we believe she would do beautifully with kids and likely cat-friendly homes as well. There is genuinely not a single mean bone in this girl’s body. She is truly one of a kind and we know she’ll steal your heart too!!!
