0126005 - Meet Gabby!

Gabby, formerly known as Lindsey, is just under a year old and sadly finds herself looking for a forever family again after being adopted as a puppy and recently returned to our rescue. Despite the unexpected change, Gabby hasn't missed a beat. She is smart, sweet, playful, and incredibly loving — and she gets along wonderfully with just about everyone, including kids, other dogs, and even cats!

At around 30 pounds, Gabby is the perfect medium-sized companion. She has the BEST little personality and is a total snuggle bug. She listens well, knows basic commands, loves to play, and is just as happy curling up with her people when it's time to relax.

Gabby was returned because she was having potty accidents in her previous home. Thankfully, we haven't seen much of this during the last few weeks in her foster home, although she does appear to have a somewhat weak bladder. She occasionally nervous-pees, but even that has become pretty uncommon as she's settled in and gained confidence.

For now, Gabby does best when she has the opportunity to go outside about every four hours, including overnight. If you have a dog door, even better — Gabby knows exactly how to use one and will happily let herself out!

We have consulted with our veterinarian and started Gabby on an estrogen replacement medication that she takes just twice a week to help strengthen her bladder muscles. It already seems to be helping, and we're hopeful she'll continue to improve as she matures.

Gabby really is such a wonderful young dog. Her bladder issues are only one small part of her story, and in return for a little extra patience and a consistent potty routine, you'll get an affectionate, playful, well-mannered girl who loves people and animals alike.

She's already lost one home, and we would love nothing more than to make sure her next one is forever.
