She is friendly with other dogs and generally does well, though she tends to like being the “top dog.” Roz is active, alert, and very aware of her surroundings. She walks with a charming, bouncy, slightly wobbly gait that makes everyone smile, and she has the most endearing low, rumbly “talking” growl she uses to greet people she knows.

Roz pays close attention to her person on walks. Early on, she would walk backward, watching closely to make sure her human was still there. With trust, that behavior faded, and now she confidently walks forward, staying close and connected. Once she trusts you, her loyalty shines through.

Comfort items are very important to Roz. She has a group of well-loved blankets and towels that she has slept with for over a year. They carry familiar scents and help her feel safe. These items must go with her and should not be thrown away until she is fully settled, as they are a vital part of her emotional comfort.
