Meet Diego

Diego is a 2-year-old Pit Mix with an amazing story. He was found as a stray alongside a Chihuahua mix, and when he arrived, we discovered he had a previously broken leg and was heartworm positive. To add to his list, Diego also has a heart murmur.

The good news is that he has completed his heartworm treatment and will be rechecked at the beginning of December. Since we still have some evaluating to do with Diego, he will be available through a foster-to-adopt program.

Diego is a really sweet boy with a strong pull. He does listen, but he needs someone who is familiar with the bully breed and understands how to work with his strength and personality. He likes to see what he can get away with, so consistency and structure will be important for him.

Diego still needs to be neutered, but he is ready for someone willing to give this sweet boy the second chance he deserves!
