Wednesday - Pit Bull Terrier and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Kansas City, Missouri

Meet Wednesday! This adorable pup loves life. She is energetic and very, very loving. She was dumped on a rural property and taken in by a family who planned to foster her but couldn't seem to find her an adopter. Now she's living the city life and slowly getting used to the sights and sounds of the city.

Wednesday is fantastic with dogs and kids--although she is working on her jumping. She is good with cats but does love them--so while her intention is gentle, they do not always enjoy her attention or her kisses. She is medium energy and would do well with an active family that have time for walks and play. Despite her energy, Wednesday loves to cuddle with her humans and will do her best to be touching you all the times! Like a typically puppy, she loves toys and playing rough with dogs, once she gets comfortable. If she's not comfortable, she co-exists happily. But don't worry, give her 30 minutes and she'll need to give you the biggest kiss.

Her leash skills are improving--although her walks are more meandering sniffs right now. She's food motivated and very intelligent, so she'll pick it up quickly. Additionally, Wednesday has displayed some light resource guarding around food and high value treats but nothing serious. Because she's kennel trained (for work-days and bed time), she happily eats in her crate.

She would do well in home with another dog to help her build confidence & continue to learn how to be a dog. However, as long as her future family would commit to building her confidence with proper socialization and activity, she could be in a single-dog home.
